These are a selection of pictures from our "Family Funday" on 10th August

We ended up with a nice day although it was extremely windy and getting the inflatables in place and anchored was quite a task.

Sadly we were badly let down by a number of businesses and organisations around town. After sitting down and working through our list there were ten different small businesses or organisations who were committed to supplying either entertainment or a stall or simply their presence to this event who simply didn't turn up. LocalKnights has tried everything we could over the last few months to get this event organised. It was never designed to be anything other than a free funday to try to help small businesses promote themselves and yet most of those who we expected to take part clearly couldn't be bothered.

We had also spoken to lots of parents around town who continually complain that there is nothing for children to do in Altrincham over the weekend. Well where were they today ? If you won't support organised events why should people try to provide childrens entertainment in the first place.

Anyway, enough griping.
